An unusual collaboration between paediatric surgery and sailing enthusiasts has led to the organisation of the International Scientific Conference SPINNAKER. This will be the first event of its kind and will consist of 3 coequal parts: Surgical Suturing Competition, Scientific Forum and Yacht Race.
Conference Participants will be able to demonstrate their surgical suturing skills. Plenary sessions with original papers and case reports will be a great opportunity to share your achievements, ideas and views and to learn from young medics from all over the world. Finally, 3-person crews will compete in the one-of-a-kind Omega Class.
Each Participant will also be able to attend fascinating lectures, workshops and integration evenings! Ahead of us: negative pressure wound therapy, mountain medicine, water rescue, ocean yacht accidents, shanties, campfires, new friendships and much more…
The conference aims to promote networking between students and recent graduates from a range of medical disciplines. All of the above in a beautiful mountain and lake setting!
